Until I cut the above yesterday (which is actually very simple — five strips with three tabs and three slits each that can be configured in a number of ways) I had no idea what I wanted to do for my final project except that I did not want to use chipboard. The weird twisted blob shape and its ability to reconfigure inspired me! I want to create a model for temporary housing (emergency or homeless shelter) that has a skin that can potentially configure to any given shape or volume. I am going to start with a simple surface much like the original tabbing definition that will serve as a roof structure; eventual restraints may include windows and solid ground.
